“I recently joined the cyborg club…”

Slipknot guitarist Mick Thomson has had spinal surgery.

He writes that’s he’s now part of “the cyborg club”, and hopes to be “back to mid 2000s [head]banging by our next record cycle.”

Mick was also stabbed in the back of the head during a knife fight with his brother back in 2015.

Other members of the band have undergone medical procedures over the last 12 months. Frontman Corey Taylor needed spinal surgery after breaking his neck, while co-guitarist Jim Root had disk replacement surgery.

I recently joined the cyborg club. Sore as fuck but hope to be back to mid 2000s banging by our next record cycle. Should probably just have every disc replaced all the way down to be safe. Dr. Perri and the entire staff were awesome.
